Did I experience a seizure?

So last Tuesday I took 4 .25mg dissolvable wafers of xanax (1mg total) for the first time. I was only prescribed to take one pill, not four. However, since I had taken ativan off and on for a couple years and since the last time I took .5mg xanax in the pill form it didn't help, I assumed that 1mg would be perfectly fine. Keep in mind I had never taken the dissolvable form before, it was early morning with no food, and it went immediately into my system. I proceeded to walk to the stairs and that is when it started. I began to feel like my body was disoriented and extremely light-headed. I started shaking and at one point going down the stairs my body forced me to sit down. I finally made it downstairs to my mom and as I was walking toward the bathroom I fell and she caught me in time to lower me down to the ground. Once on the ground I zoned out completely. I began twitching and convulsing uncontrollably while sitting up and could not hear what my mom was saying to me, her voice sounded like echos. This did not last long and passed quickly but it was very scary. What was happening to me? Was I having some type of seizure?
