im a girl. ive been hurt in my past relationship. 3 years later i met a man. we clicked and started dating. he confessed his love for me within 6 months. i responded the way your bf has. it took me a little over a year to feel secure enough and to truly feel like ive fallen in love with him. he waited for me. we are soon to be married. its hard to pour out your heart to someone and they rip it apart and that can damage some much more than others. you need to be patient. dont push it. if he is worth waiting for then he will come around. wait about a year. just understand that the heartbreak was more detrimental to him than you. everyone is different
