My 360's disk drive has died. Will a replacement drive be recognized as a mod?

Hello, I am sorry to hear that your xbox disk drive has given out but as a heavy xbox modder I can tell you that bricking your xbox will defiantly not happen by flashing the drive. Because it is flashing the firmware on your disk drive to that of a custom version it is considered a modification to their hardware (mod).I have flashed disk drives before and another thing i know is that the modification of a disk drive is fine and they will not catch you for that. It only becomes illegal when you burn backup disks that you have downloaded on the internet. If you are playing xbox games which are legit and bought you will be perfectly fine to go online.(If you are downloading xbox games be sure to stealth patch them !!!)
